About Me

I'm Elle Shaw, a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Texas at Austin.
I finished my PhD in physics at UIUC, where I helped build, test, and launch the SPIDER cosmic microwave background experiment into the stratosphere from McMurdo Station, Antarctica. SPIDER flew on a massive NASA Long Duration Balloon to capture the polarization signal of the oldest light in the universe.

Now I am working on The Simons Observatory, a ground-based cosmic microwave background experiment located in the Atacama Desert in Chile.
